Good crab restaurant but it is very expensive. You should get their set menu because their a la carte is not worth it.

Superb crab soup. price is not for the faint hearted.

Crab meals are delicious, food is fresh, you can taste crab cooking with different way, the steam crab with egg is the bomb

Food is expensive but unique. Only came here because they got the best but my taste does not much their style. Service super but seeing them handle my shoes and serve my food using that same hand just gave me bad feelings.

This is Definitely the Best. Don’t waste your time looking around among those all-you-can-eat crab restaurants nearby. This is it if you are looking for the best quality carb cuisines! By the way, the grilled crab is amazing!

The food was extremely good. There was a wide selection of crab-based food and other seafood. My favorite was the lasagna like pasta that used crab meat instead of meat. It was mind-blowingly delicious! If you're craving for some crab, then go grab a bite here!

Came for the charcoal grilled crab stall outside of the restaurant. Restaurant opens at 11AM, but when we arrived at 10.30AM the stall outside was already grilling and serving up crab! Got both the crab paste (aka Tomalley, the grey green stuff in the shell) for 500 yen, and the grilled crab meat for 900 yen. Both were sensational! Crab paste was super rich and delicious, I was sharing one with a friend and it was so good I got another. The grilled crab came with a leg and half a body, the meat was super succulent and sweet, and there was a generous amount of it. Highly highly recommended!Note: This store is towards the start of Dotonbori, there are several other crab stores along the street also with the giant crab statue on the wall, but only this one has a grilling street stall. The line wasn't super long, just a couple people.Note: At 10.30 there were one or two people lined up for the main restaurant, 15 minutes later there were about 20 people queued.

I was able to eat delicious Japanese food. You can enjoy a lot of menu lineups.

Great place for crab themed cuisine. Usually need to reserve or a one hour wait while you shop in Dotonbori.

First off. It is expensive with the cheapest set at ¥5,500 before tax but I guess you’re getting what you are paying for. The service is exceptional even if we are English speaking tourists. It is easily spotted by the huge crab sign on the outside, diagonal from the famous glico man sign. You are able to choose if you wanted a Japanese style sitting or the usual table and chairs The crab are really huge and fresh! I was even able to swop my raw crab for grilled crab as I couldn’t eat raw food. Still an enjoyable dinner although it was pricey.

Amazing crab, everything perfectly done. The crab broth used in their various hotpot dishes is divine. Not a fan of raw crab sashimi. But that's my opinion, as I feel cooking brings out the flavor.

This place has good staff and live crab. We enjoyed our dining and the icecream topped with freshly prepared matcha after the meal. It would be more more pleasant with smoking not allowed.

There was little line, but there was a wait list 😭 worth the 1 hour wait, the snow crab was fresh, sweet and perfect with hot pot. I’m not sure whether can be requested but there are seats by the window for nice canal view

If you come without reservation, the best time is before lunch time. I tried to come after dinner time, but they are already full booked. The manager suggest us to come around 11 or 12 for lunch to secure our spot

Quality of the crab were excellent. Service was ok, had to keep asking our tea to be filled. We overstuffed ourselves since we were misled that we had to each get a combo. In reality, most would be fine with one combo and add on a few side dishes instead of ordering two ¥10,000 combo.The snow crab were meaty but the king crab was a notch above it in terms of taste and quality.

A very popular chain of restaurant in Japan serving crab. And you will definitely not miss their signature 🦀 sign board in any of their locations. Service was great, we managed to get a table even though it was a last minute decision to dine there. The price however was slightly steep for the amount of food you get. I’d say give this place a try if you’re curious, but I’m not sure if I’d go back again. You could probably get much more out of your money from eating else where.

One of the best crab meals I've had in my life, and honestly not too expensive considering the quality of the food and service. Definitely go for the lunch sets which can be less than 30,000JPY.Just along the Dotonbori main street there are three branches of this restaurant. If it's not too crowded, eat at the main branch next to the Ebisu bridge. The main branch is also the only one that has a crab grilling stand on the outside of the shop (900JPY per serve). The aroma alone is worth the price of admission.

A must try when u u are in Osaka dontonbori! The prices are not exactly cheap, but will be much affordable during lunch. If you are unable to take raw crab, please take note before ordering. Reservation is recommended if you want to dine between 11.30am to 1.30pm.

Tried the crab here and was pleasantly surprised. I just had one dish, but I am guessing that if that's the quality you get it's worth trying some more. It is kind of expensive though, so be prepared for that. It's easy so find the place because of the large sign. Eat either inside the restaurant or just grab something to go.

Very interesting fresh 🦀 crab restaurant 🦀 kinda tradition way to serve food 🥘 this restaurant gonna be my top list!! Highly recommend to try. Again, don’t forget to book reservation. We ordered many different items and few combos, so there was few item missed, good thing we took photos, so we get a chance to figure out what we’ve eat. Prices not for the faint hearted but if you appreciate quality and top service standards, this might just make your day, that is you are a crab 🦀 person.Surprisingly, the best part of my meal was the little bowl of greyish coloured crab roe+innards mixed.Crab served in so many ways for you to appreciate. Again, for me it is the baked crab, not something usual here. Most were having it Steamed or boiled.Amazing enough for us to come back a second time.

The food is as good as expected, however, the service is sub-par for the price. We've tried other same tier restaurants elsewhere in Japan, and this one definitely pales in comparison.You do get private rooms, however, you will have to pray that your neighbors keeps their rackus down, as was not the case for us. Also, I suspect that the staff is undermanned, or the evening during our visit was especially busy.My future rule is to avoid visiting really popular restaurants, in really popular locations. There are choices out there that can provide the same quality of food and a better overall experience.

There was a fly in the soup. The manager 小林泰三was extremely apologetic and we tried to forget the incident and continued with the meal. However, the waitress serving us was sloppy and when making the porridge, she scooped away the soup base which we cooked the crab in it and all flavours were gone! She even splashed the soup on my clothes! She kept asking us if the rice is cooked enough, if she should pour the egg in and the end product was a messy pot of rice soup, not porridge! It was a totally different experience from our first visit! Extremely disappointed with the experience, we gave the feedback to the manager. He agreed that the porridge was bad and personally cooked the porridge himself and totally salvage the bad experience! This is what we called service recovery in all Japanese spirit!

Crab is fresh and large, however raw crab might be too exotic to certain people

Went around 5pm no wait, got a table straight away. Servers were efficient and professional, mainly used gestures to communicate how to eat each item. Food was delicious and very filling. Nice atmosphere being on the top floor, had to take off shoes since you were sitting on floors almost (feet could hang underneath table).Would recommend since it is an iconic spot in Dotomburi. There are many stores but this one is nearest to the famous Ebisu bridge where the Glico man can be found.

Restaurant appears to be completely booked many days in advance but walk-in is possible with a queue. Ordered two set meals and a separate crab kamameshi. Feels overpriced for the quantity and did not feel satisfied not full after the the meal.

Went around 11:45am on Sunday there and it’s not crowded (we didn’t make a reservation). We ordered the lunch special with the hot pot and it was really delicious. The set comes with around 8 courses where you can enjoy crab cooked in different ways. The service is good but slow. Anyway, we had a good time. The food is really yummy and I give one star less because of the service. We asked for water and it came in like 20 minutes where lots of waitresses are standing beside our table chatting...

Sauce is really good. Service is soso!!! Even have separate smoking and non smoking section, no one asked us and took us to smoking section .... bad experience.

Ordered two Crab dinner sets, the set with snow crab is worth the extra $$. Recommend going early to the restaurant and reserve a seat for late lunch or dinner.

Went around 3pm, hence, no queue. Had the lunch set ranging between 3000 to 4000jpy. Wasn't keen on the crab sashimi texture but definitely a must try experience. Enjoyed the crab gratin, boiled crab, rice with crab and broth. Lovely service. No complaints.

Apart from the long queues and waiting times, if you're a crab lover, this place is for you. It's more on the expensive side but you can taste the quality of the meat. The service is good and the staff can understand enough English to take your order. I would recommend going at around 4pm and making a reservation for dinner so that you don't have to wait for so long. If you don't want to have an entire set but would still like to try the crab, they sell takeaways outside the store (picture included).

The famous crab restaurant in Dotombori.I think it is a little pricey for a crab leg but it is really delicious anyway. So once you are here just try it! The store is easy to find but there are other locations all over japan.

Totally worth a visit! The atmosphere is awesome, service is good, food is excellent. I made an online reservation to escape the queue and choose preferred seating style. Lunch sets are perfect for me who had a budget!

A bit pricey but definitely worth your money. The smell around that shop is overwhelmingly decadent. A must for sea food lover.

A high end "fine dining" crab meal. It was a nice experience trying out different dishes of crab. However, service could be improved. I had a reservation at 11am. Got there on time but saw a long queue for walk-in. They should have a different line for reservations. Overall the food was great, but atmosphere was horrible, not quite their fault though. Too many Chinese tourists (i am a chinese tourist myself) and they just talked way too loud. My suggestion is to not try this branch if you want a better dining experience.

We went here days ago during lunch time, no waiting time and arranged a private room for us at 6 floor, we enjoyed the foods, especially if you’re crab lover should try it out, price wise still fine because the fresh crab and served with different dishes, Kani Suki Nabe, Sushi, grilled, and sashimi and etc. worth for a try!

This place is one of the most popular places for tuorisum. I have been to Osaka three times and finally decide to have try. Booked the seat two weeks in advancr to skip the line (highly recommend). There are great variaty of course you can choose with combination of all crab related dishes. We ordered one big set of course and added few single dishes. Overall not too impressive, other than the steam crab with rice in a small pot. The carb with rice is very good, with very traditional Japanese cooking method. All others I feel they are still good, but not too impressive and the price is a little bit high. So overall if you come to travel and want to experience different dishes with crab, I still recommend. If you come for really good food, then maybe order wisely.

English menu available. Clean and comfortable restaurant. Great service; staff were attentive and polite. Highly recommend for lunch as the lunch menu offers great value.

Perfect place for crab lovers esp. with friends or family. Comfortable environment, fresh and tasty crab, top class service. Dining here is such an enjoyable experience which just like enjoying an art piece. The crab sake will give you an unexpected surprise and is a must try
